Ist year pupils from the Academy, with their RE teacher Shameen Syed, pictured on their St Patricks' Day visit to Greyfrairs church .
Notice the Rector wearing his shamrock!
The enthusiastic youngsters asked many penetrating questions about faith and the church!
It is to be hoped that such visits can continue, along with school assemblies, under future ministry.

Winter Wonderland a great success

Once again Greyfriars hosted a successful Winter Wonderland. Featured in pic Santa aka Robin Shields & his wife – elf, Gwen Shaw JP who was principal organiser this year, and the Rector. Not in photo but so central to the day’s success were  Gary McKie who transported Father Christmas by boat, Jim White our piper and so many others who ran stalls, catered in the Inner Wheel café, stewarded, provided goods and donations etc. Please see letter from Gwen Shaw. Over £900 was raised.
