Pilgrim Trail

Kirkcudbright means ‘church of St Cuthbert’ and the town is situated on one of the pilgrim routes which start at Whithorn and spread within Scotland and North England.

Greyfriars has created its own trail inside the church, using a number of artefacts designed and created by former members of our congregation, for visiting pilgrims seeking a time of quiet reflection.

A leaflet is available in the church and guides the visitor round the prayer points. Please feel free to take the leaflet and a scallop shell (the traditional symbol of a pilgrim) with you as you leave.
