We are a friendly congregation, which averages 26-30 people each week. The church is blessed with a lovely organ and a very talented organist.
We have 2 services, with the main Sunday service being a Sung Eucharist at 9.30am, which includes a sermon and which finishes around 10.30am. Usually there is coffee and biscuits after the Sunday service. On Wednesday at 9.30am there is a said Eucharist in traditional form.
o St Mary’s has wheelchair access and areas in church for wheelchairs, as part of our inclusive response to God’s work. We have a toilet, which is disabled friendly.
o There is a loop system for those who use hearing assistance.
o We have a small kitchen and usually offer coffee and biscuits after the Sunday service.
o There is on street parking opposite the church, and on road side around the church. There is also a main car park in Gatehouse, which is a 3 minute walk from St Mary’s.
St Mary’s is inclusive community and keen to welcome everyone to our services and to enter into our church life together. Children of all ages are warmly welcomed in church, and there are colouring books and reading books available.
We’d love you to take a look at our news page, where some of the events we organise or participate in are shown.
St. Mary’s, as well as having close ecumenical relationships with other churches, is also closely connected with local schools, YMCA, the Royal British Legion, Rotary, and the Sea Cadets.
