Around 780 visitors passed through Greyfriars church during the Art & Crafts Trail this year to see the display in honour of Scottish women remembered for their courage and brave deeds.
The creative display - mounted by members of the church - included a brief biography for each woman, sometimes photos of them as well, where available, an appropriate costume and magnificent floral displays to accompany it all. Many compliments were received both about the church and the affecting display.L
The total number of visitors included 82 children who stayed for the 'Stories from the Sea' activities put on by Laura Shaw, Drostie Tame and Rosemarie Main, which included puppet making, filling a treasure chest and a quiz.
