Thanks to your generosity, our shelves are laden with basic foodstuffs.
On 11th December we will be making up Christmas boxes for individuals and families. These will contain extra Christmas food treats and a small gift for each person. It will be helpful if any children's gifts are suitable for boys and girls (e.g. book, drawing materials, selection box etc).
We will gratefully accept Christmas donations on the 11th December between 9 - 9.30am at Greyfriars' House as usual.
Thank you again for your generosity and best wishes
Once again Greyfriars church was delighted to host a well-attended service celebrating Sea Sunday. This is a world-wide event, and we in Kirkcudbright are familiar with the sight of fishing vessels and their crews.
The church will be open to visitors from 9th July - 31st August (except Sundays during that period). The town is noticeably filling up with visitors, attracted no doubt by the opening of the splendid new Kirkcudbright Galleries, amongst many other attractions.
Notice is given that the Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway of the Scottish Episcopal Church is making preparation for the removal and re-interment of cremated remains from the former Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Knightswood to a new memorial garden at St. Bride’s Episcopal Church, Hyndland.
